Many of the schools in the Confederation run a number of clubs and activities before, during and after the school day.  They may also run or host activities during the holidays.  Some of these are extended to children outside the school and to adults in the community.

TTT is a youth project initiated by Godalming Churches Together.  The team runs lunchtime and after schoolclubs and activities, youth groups and contributes to PHSE in school.

  • Café Trinity - a teenagers' after-school drop in, 3 afternoons a week at the Cellar Café in Godalming town centre
  • Internet Café - Wednesday evenings at St Mark's, Ockford Ridge.
  • EMMAUS - for 14-18 year olds, 7:30- 9:30 pm on Sunday evenings (mainly during term-time). Join a group of young people having tons of fun, playing games, going on outings, gathering for fellowship
  •  WizKidz (school years 6 & 7) - Fridays, 6.45 to 8 pm at Godalming United Church
  • Almost Angels (school years 8 & 9) - Fridays 8.15 to 9.30 pm at Godalming United Church

Youth Café

For 11-18 year olds.  Open every Monday during term time, 7.15-9.15pm, in The Loseley Fields Children's Centre, Green Lane, Binscombe, Godalming. 

Entry 50p - just turn up and come on in, all welcome!

There's Playstation, a Pool table, table football, a tuck shop with hot and cold drinks and lots more.  Just come along, hang out and have fun!

New Friday Youth Club for Children ages 7-10- begins Sept 26th 2008

Held at MIlford Baptist Church on Friday afternoons 4:30-6:00pm (except Public Holidays.

Questers is an opportunity for children to play games, make friends, muck about and learn more about Jesus.  Each afternoon breaks down into an hour of organised games followed by a short bible lesson and some free time to enjoy video ganes, pool table and sports equipment.  Parents are very welcome to drop off their kids or stick around for a while. Volunteer helpers welcome - please contact Questors.

Did you know that there's a new online service to help your kids with their homework!  Called Homework Help Chat, it's available online from 3:30-5:30pm Mon-Fri and 9:30am-4:3pm on Saturdays.  The people there will help find the information needed to complete the homework!  Even when the online service isn't available, this site can help you find other resources to help. Watts Gallery,

Compton

Watts Gallery houses the art of G F Watts OM RA, his wife  Mary Watts and other Victorian artists.  In addition to the exhibition, the gallery runs a number of workshops and projects for families and to support schools, such as:

Youth Café (gigs every other Friday)

Plantation is part of Guildford YMCA.  Plantation Café is located in the centre of Guildford (12b Market Street, Guildford, Surrey GU1 4LB; tel: 01483 888122)

  • Open 6 days a week, for 13 - 25 year olds, every other Friday is a gig night.
  • It serves hot and cold snacks & drinks in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There's pool, free internet, sofas, music, PS2 & Gamecube. The Café is run by very sane paid and volunteer staff. If you just want to turn up, play pool, chill out or eat chips, then that's cool.
  • The Café also runs a varied programme of things to do/to support you(including Prince's Trust, Plantation Trading, India Project, Rampage Annual Skateday,SexCare Clinic). There's more information on their website.

Guildford YMCA

Guildford YMCA is a Christian charity which aims to engage young people, aged between 8 to 25 years of age, through positive relationships and help them move on in their journey of personal development.

It offers many support services for young people, including emergency accommodation, counselling, volunteer opportunities.

The Learning Skills Council

The Learning and Skills Council can offer free information, advice and guidance on learning and work, including:

U3A

(University of the Third Age)

One in five of the population is in The Third Age. The Third Age is when you have time for yourself - after the job and kids are gone - usually after the age of 50! 'University' is a loose term as there are no academic requirements for membership and no exams. U3A members help to provide stimulating study groups and recreational activities. There are no qualifications to join, very small outlay and no pressure.
