Holiday Activities

Parents asked us to let them know about the different activities and clubs available during the school holidays, be it holiday clubs providing childcare or activities to keep their children active and interested.  Our first listing came out in Summer '08 and we're trying to find more activities each time we produce a leaflet.  You can view the latest list by clicking on the image below.

There are some fantastic holiday activities available locally, from sports activities to craft and drama activities and children’s multi-activity weeks. In response to your requests, we’ve tried to include more for our older pupils, so on our leaflets check out the activities indicated with a Good for Teens flash.

Currently we produce leaflets for the SUMMER, CHRISTMAS and EASTER holidays.  Although we aren't producing leaflets for the half term holidays, you'll find that lots of the organisations listed provide clubs and activities at half terms too.  So for HALF TERM holidays, click on a leaflet below and call some of the organisations listed.

                                 ENJOY YOUR SUMMER ...

HERE IS OUR SUMMER 2010 HOLIDAYS ACTIVITIES LIST...

... which contains details of and links to a whole raft of activities which are going on locally, for children, families and young people.  It's full of ideas for things to do, days out, sports activities, craft workshops, what's on at local museums and libraries, National Trust activities, where to find holiday childcare and more.  We are sending it to all our parents (by email or paper copy).  If you click on the image below you can see the leaflet in printable format.  Enjoy your summer!

U3A

(University of the Third Age)

One in five of the population is in The Third Age. The Third Age is when you have time for yourself - after the job and kids are gone - usually after the age of 50! 'University' is a loose term as there are no academic requirements for membership and no exams. U3A members help to provide stimulating study groups and recreational activities. There are no qualifications to join, very small outlay and no pressure.
